RED MOUNTAIN AVA

Washington

Covering just 4,040 acres (1,630 hectares), Red Mountain is one of the smallest appellations in Washington State. Despite its size, it stands out as one of the warmest, with broad southwest-facing slopes that absorb the summer sun.

Thanks to these high temperatures, red grape varieties thrive here, with Cabernet Sauvignon being the most prominent, accounting for 60% of the plantings. The warm climate, combined with steady winds, produces small berries with thicker skins. As a result, Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons are known for being full-bodied, dark, and dense, with firm tannins that allow them to age remarkably well.
