Aromas of a holiday kitchen; freshly baked cherry cobbler plus mulling spices on the stove. Rich, red fruit offers layers of flavor to support the bubbling cherry juice, while aromas of wheat, brown butter and hay deliver the earthiness of the Walla Walla Valley. Bright acid and balanced tannins offer structure and invite pairings with peppery sausage, garlic mashed potatoes and sweet corn, complimenting the slight and sweet tartness on the mid palate.
Aging program: 21 months, 40% New American Oak and 60% Neutral Oak
Label Backstory
Asking someone in the wine business how long your cork should be is a sticky situation. Natural cork? Artificial? Agglomerated? Technical?
And the touchiest subject of all? Length.
We did our part: We took the best grapes from Walla Walla Valley’s Wheatfield Vines Vineyard and asked one of the top winemakers in the Pacific Northwest to create an amazing bottle of wine. And we topped it with the longest natural cork known to man-2.25 inches.
Now it’s up to you to decide…does size matter?
