Aromas of chocolate-covered cherries and mulling spice jump from the glass, followed slowly by a springy/sage bouquet mix. Extended swirling and sniffing teases tangy BBQ sauce and mushrooms. The first sip delivers cherries, blueberries and cardamom spice, with a rush of acid to keep the palate fresh, followed by a finale of tannins, prepping the palate for another sip.
