DESCRIPTION:Join us on Third Fridays on Second Ave with Double Take Guitar Duo—Bill Bogard and John Holmes. Performing jazz standards and originals with two guitars and a timeless sound. \nJohn Holmes has been a key member of the Non Stop Band—a composer’s workshop and studio recording project—for over 40 years. Locally\, he’s played in a variety of duos and trios\, including Duo Caribe with percussionist Lary Barileau\, Jazzmen Tea with poet Larry Leier\, the Latin Jazz Collective\, and the Mike Agidius Quartet. He also regularly performs with his son Chris and percussionist Glenn Ayers under various group names. \nBill Bogard is a seasoned guitarist with more than 50 years of professional experience. He has performed locally with groups such as My Sister Linoleum featuring vocalist Janet Berger\, Jazz Standard Time\, and The Walla Walla Rhythm Train\, in addition to numerous solo appearances. A retired professor from Whitman College\, Bill is both a performer and composer\, known for his expressive musicianship and dedication to the craft. \nNo Cover.
